WHO'S BEHIND THE BJ CO.?

Hey friends! I'm Jo. Johnson, a wife, a mother of a beautiful set of girl/boy twins, a lifelong learner, strategic planner, philanthropist, entrepreneur, certified master business strategist, and coach. A first-generation college graduate, obtaining both my bachelor's and master's degrees is not what's expected from a little girl growing up in a single-parent home, living in Section 8 housing, on welfare (government assistance), and attending Title 1 public schooling. With all those factors that could have potentially stopped me from excelling, I graduated from THE Prairie View A&M University with honors, then Lamar University's master's program, and I am currently progressing in a doctoral program at Baker University. 

I started my career in education as a ninth-grade Biology teacher, enriching young minds in the field of science. I then went into educational leadership as a Science Instructional Coach and then a Title 1 campus coordinator. During my time in leadership, The Barberry Johnson Company was birthed. Later, I became a program manager, where I was able to use my skills to improve campus culture and climate by offering teacher and administrator coaching, leading professional development, creating campus action plans, and more! 

From my passion for improving organizations through relationship-building, strategic planning, and technology integration strategies, The B.J. Co., LLC has allowed me to marry education and business to support businesses to enhance systems and optimize operations to produce high-quality solutions. My goal is to help businesses turn their visions into reality through digital optimization and efficient technology system integration.
